Over twenty years experience in employment law litigation and claim prevention services. Practiced law with Parsons Behle & Latimer and Janove Baar Associates before joining the Council in 1994. Specialized areas include employment law advising, management consultation, internal investigations, claim resolution, workforce training, and policy development. Leads future growth. Develops and conducts seminars, legal briefings, and roundtables.

KIMBERLY BARTON, SPHR, HR Advisor & Surveys Manager: BA Political Science, Emory University. She joined the Council in 2009 with over fourteen years experience as a human resources director in the hospitality industry and for a nonprofit organization. Specialized areas include human resource consultation, surveys, training, and special projects.

JONI B. CHELEMES, SPHR, HR Advisor: BA English, University of Utah, MA English Education, New York University. Over ten years experience as a human resources director/manager in both retail and manufacturing environments prior to joining the Council in 2007. Specialized areas include human resource consultation, employee handbook reviews, special projects, and monthly roundtable facilitation.

ROBERT COURSEY, Attorney (licensed to practice in GA, to be admitted in UT 10/10), HR Advisor: BA English, George Mason University, JD, Georgia State University College of Law. Practiced employment law for nearly ten years in Atlanta with Fisher & Phillips before joining the Council in 2010. Specialized areas include employment law advising, management consultation, internal investigations, claim resolution, and workforce training.

HOLLY ENGAR, SPHR, HR Advisor & Training Manager: BS Communication, University of Utah. Hired with three years human resources manager experience in retail and information technology sectors. Earned Certificate in Conflict Resolution, University of Utah in 2004. She joined the Council in 2006. Specialized areas include human resource consultation, training and event coordination, and monthly roundtable facilitation.

KATIE HUDMAN, Attorney, HR Advisor: BS, Political Science, Weber State University, JD, University of Utah College of Law. Practiced law for four years at Kirton & McConkie in the areas of employment, risk management, and corporate law. Clerked for Chief Justice Christine M. Durham, Utah Supreme Court. She joined the Council in 2004. Specialized areas include employment law advising, management consultation, workforce training, and special projects.

MICHELLE M. JOHNSON, Member Relations Manager: BA Political Science, Brigham Young University. BA Political Science, Brigham Young University. Came to the Council in 2010 with over 20 years of sales/marketing experience. She has worked in various industries including travel, news distribution, telecommunications, and Human Resource outsourcing. Specialized areas include member service and satisfaction, sales and marketing, and public relations.

CRAIG MENDENHALL, Attorney (inactive status), HR Advisor: BA Accounting, University of Utah, JD, BYU Law School. Over twenty years of diverse experience in human resource consulting, information systems, and inhouse legal counsel. He has been on staff at the Council from 1981 - 1994 and 1999 - present. SUSAN ROBERTSON, MBA, HR Advisor: BS Business Management with HR Emphasis, University of Utah, MBA, University of Utah. Upon hire, over twenty years of human resources experience in a wide variety of industries including food distribution, healthcare, and utilities. Held a number of leadership positions in the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). She joined the Council in 2008. Specialized areas include human resource consultation, workforce training, and roundtable facilitation.

TERRI WHITEHOUSE, Administrative Assistant: Areas of responsibility include member communications, staff support, accounting, marketing, accounts payable/receivable, desktop publishing/clerical, survey support, event registration, and social coordinator. She joined the Council in 1991.
